If you have been online for any length of time you’ve been exposed to a blog in one way or another. In fact you’re probably using one yourself and understand the importance of a small business utilizing a blog for several reasons such as increasing traffic, building a relationship with your readers, etc.

Not all people are as fortunate as those of us that know the importance of blogging. Speaking on a local level if you’ve ever had a conversation with a small business owner who has a brick and mortar business you have probably come to the conclusion that some of them don’t even know what a blog is!

That’s where a Virtual Assistant who loves WordPress, has a creative side and doesn’t mind working mostly behind the scenes can utilize their services by becoming a blog consultant. Then you can start evangelizing to small business owners in your local community not only the importance of blogging but the truth – blogging is smart for business.

So exactly what is a blog consultant?

It’s someone passionate about blogging. They love blogging in general but more importantly they understand the importance of blogging for small business owners and want to share that understanding with small business owners especially on the local level.

So if you’re that VA mentioned above and are passionate about blogging and want to share that passion with others then be sure to check out Become A Blog Consultant. If you’re not a VA that’s ok too, this course was created for anyone who has a passion for blogging and wants to share it with local small business owners.

Be sure to visit our site where you can watch a quick two minute video and see a real life client example and sign up for a 16 minute audio that will help you decide if this is for you. Become A Blog Consultant

Moms: Caregiver and Provider

As moms, we wear many hats. We are the keepers of the hearth and home, each day is filled with a variety of activities that involve taking care of others. Basically, everything that a mom does can be divided into two categories: caregiver or provider.

It’s no secret, mothers are nurturers by default. They care for and protect what is theirs with our very lives. This is true both in the animal and the human domains.

As a Provider

Moms in the U.S. spend over 3.7 trillion dollars a year on consumer goods according to BSM Media. This includes shopping for kids, husbands or significant others, older parents, adult children and themselves.

Why is this?

Moms have the savvy and the presence of mind to take the time and think through a purchasing decision before actually making the purchase. Buying power like that comes with great responsibility and moms are just the ones to handle it.

According to Whirlpool (1995), 88 percent of women are responsible for caring for their families. These moms are married and single. For single parents, the responsibility increases because they are the sole provider. Every decision from health insurance to home loans to buying groceries falls on them.

As a result of being the provider (sole or in partnership), moms are taking the bull by the horns, so to speak. They are actively seeking out information on various topics so they can make an intelligent decision and use their buying power effectively.

As the Caregiver

According to statistics published in June 2001 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, many families will spend over $165,000 on a child from birth to eighteen years of age. Just imagine if you have several children? When your income ranges from the mid-thirties to the mid-sixties (thousands of dollars), that is a significant amount of your income. And that is simply the average family.

As a caregiver, moms are responsible for everything from vaccinations to which summer camps the kids will attend. Their choices shape the next generation. Making the best decisions possible involves stepping up and finding out the best way to give our families what they need.

Older moms are also challenged to consider the best way to care for the parents who once cared for them. As people live longer, there are a greater number of middle age parents who are trading the care of their now grown children for that of their aging parents. They are left with making the decisions about insurance, living accommodations and managing health concerns which is not easy by any standard.

The extraordinary buying power of moms results from their roles as caregiver and provider for the ones we love. We are stepping up to meet our responsibility with intelligence and strength.

Are you like me, a mom? What do you spend your money on? There is no denying that the buying power of moms has made a big impact on the consumer market. If you are curious to see if we get it right, keep reading to learn something you might not have known about other moms and their buying habits.

The Moms of the Toddler Set

We all know that when we have kids, our buying habits can change. Mostly out of necessity, but as moms, we secretly love to shop for all those cute gadgets and clothing available for babies these days. According to an Online Behavior and Demographics survey by Jupiter Media Metrix, over 40 percent of moms will buy items online that are on sale. These items probably wouldn’t have been purchased in the store

When you add children to the mix, there is a whole new arena of buying to consider. Instead of buying fashionable shoes and clothing (which you can still squeeze in if you are a savvy shopper), new moms are buying breast pumps, diapers, bottles and Onesies. Fashion has come to the small and sweet-smelling and moms are all for it. The mentality is “Why shouldn’t your baby be the best dressed on the playground” in Old Navy, Gymboree and OshKosh B’Gosh?

Also, moms with babies and young children are new to the kid scene. They are apt to research products before purchasing them. Recommendations from veteran moms, like us, whether online or off, are absolutely influencing the decisions on what purchases to make and what ones to stay away from.

Moms with Older Kids

Now the buying habits get interesting. About ten years ago, the mom of a teenager required a users guide to navigate the world of emerging technology . Most didn’t know how to shop for an iPod, a PDA or an Xbox. One thing they did know is that technology equaled big dollars and they wanted those dollars well spent.

Now, today those same moms are learning the lingo. They are shopping for and becoming knowledgeable about iPods, gaming systems, netbooks and other gadgets. As moms, we have found that using technology is just as fun as purchasing it for our kids. I can attest as I have a Nintendo DS, an iPod Classic and several other techie toys myself.

Baby Boomer Moms

For these moms, life has come full circle. They are now caring for aging parents and are empty nesters themselves. New issues take precedence in their life such as senior healthcare, coping with illness, upside-down mortgages, assisted living and managing more than one household.

These moms aren’t buying diapers or bicycles anymore. Instead, they search for specialized items to fit the needs of their parents while adjusting to life as empty nesters. Moms over 45 are buying vacation packages or time shares, downsizing their homes and shopping for items related to their hobbies.

If you, as a mom, are in any of these phases, we have tried to depict an accurate picture of you. For young moms, you now know what is ahead of you. The buying habits of moms change and grow as their responsibilities do the same.

Did you know that companies are spending billions of dollars every year marketing their products to Moms? If you’re in the Mom market yourself, you know you’re in the right place. If not, then why aren’t you?

Services like Mom PLR eBooks make it easy for you to tap into this market, too. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of room, as you’ll see in our Top 10 reasons why the Mom market rocks:

1. Moms make up a huge market. There are over 80 million Moms in the United States, with 1.4 million new Moms giving birth for the first time every year (US Census).

2. Moms send a lot of money. Moms spend $1.3 trillion every year (Marketing to Moms by Maria T. Bailey, 2002). Have I mentioned the Mom market is huge?

3. Moms make a lot of buying decisions for their homes and families. Moms account for about 50% of spending on consumer electronics, food, health and beauty aids, home furnishings, and clothing (MRI, 2004). If you’re still looking for products to promote to the Mommy market, let this guide you.

4. Moms are web savvy. About 70% of Moms surveyed say they use the Internet to research before buying products (Marketing to Moms, 2002).

5. Moms like to shop online. The majority of Moms say they buy products online (Marketing to Moms, 2002). I told you, you’re in the right place. Internet marketing is the way to go!

6. Moms read their Email. Moms check their Email messages all day long (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media). Whoever said Email marketing was dead, was wrong.

7. Moms take Email messages to heart. 71% of Moms say their buying decisions are influenced by Email messages (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media). Not only do Moms read your Emails, they act on them, too.

8. Moms make things go viral. 80% of Moms say they forward useful Emails to their friends (Lucid Marketing & BSM Media 2004). So make your Emails useful!

9. Moms buy, not only for their spouses/partners and children, but for their parents as well. Up to 40% of Moms reportedly are involved in purchases for their aging parents (Marketing to Moms Coalition, 2007). This is a wonderful insight – let’s remember that Moms are somebody’s children, too.

10. Moms rely on their communities or tribes. 64% of Moms say the recommendations of others influence purchases they make for their home (Marketing to Moms, 2002).

Moms are the chief financial officers of their homes (and many have their own businesses as well). They buy a lot of stuff, both online and offline. They rely on other people to make up their minds about what to buy, and they appreciate getting really useful information that makes their lives easier.

What’s the take-away lesson for marketers here? You better be marketing to Moms and you better be doing it properly. Moms are craving useful information – are you providing it? Moms PLR eBooks can help you give Moms the content that they’re looking for online. You’ll get high-quality content written just for Moms, to use in your websites, infoproducts, Emails and more. Use coupon code “momsrule” (without quotation marks) to get $10 off your first month of membership.

Give Moms content and products they love and they’ll spread the word for you. Moms ROCK!

Gone are the days when the word “Mom” conjures images of a female who cannot operate the video recorder or navigate her way through the latest videogame, and only switches on the computer to send an email to Grandma.

According to a study published in 2009 by Razorfish and Cafemom, up to 27 million (84%) of Moms online are tech savvy. They use Web 2.0 platforms and shop online. In fact, they use communication technology and social media to connect with others, find advice and information, express themselves, do research on products they’re interested in, and simplify their multi-tasking lives.

“Digital Moms” have become so dominant on the Internet that the researchers concluded they are not a niche, but are rather the mainstream.

If you aren’t reaching out to digital Moms online yet, you might just be missing out on a significant market. Consider these numbers from the United States Census Bureau:

- Women control 80% of household spending. Even if they earn only a part or none of the total household income, women determine how much of the household income will be spent.

- Women do 60% of online shopping. Women do a lot of research online before making a purchase and actually make up more than half of online shoppers.

- Women buy 81% of all products and services. Women shop not only for themselves, but also for the home, family members, gifts for friends, teachers and associates.

The problem is, many online businesses just don’t seem to know what to do when it comes to marketing to digital Moms.

They make the mistake of treating all Moms online as if they all had the same needs and reasons for using the Internet.
Not true, according to the Razorfish/Cafemom report. For example, younger Moms tend to be more comfortable with social networking and mobile surfing. On the other hand, Moms 45 years old and above gravitate more towards online news, product reviews and podcasting.

What is the best way to reach out to today’s digital Moms?
Here are three tips:

- Provide relevant content. Some of the online Mom’s interests depend on what life stage she is in. For instance, digital Moms with young children naturally look online for information about parenting and child health. But there are topics that most digital Moms are interested in, no matter how old their children are. These include fashion and cooking.

Mom PLR Ebooks provides regular private label rights content just for Moms. For a monthly supply of PLR recipes and product reviews, check out the “All Mom Content” package of All Private Label Content.

- Be present in the channels digital Moms are using. Again according to the Razorfish/Cafemom study, more than half of digital Moms use email, search engines, social networks, gaming and online news. Emerging channels used by about one- third of digital Moms include online videos, consumer reviews and blogs.

Aside from PLR Ebooks, your monthly subscription to Mom PLR Ebooks includes a 5-day Ecourse and 26 newsletter topic ideas – perfect for digital Moms who use Email everyday. If you’re interested in providing consumer reviews, All Private Label Content includes 10 product profiles reviews every month.

- Know the particular needs, interests and online habits of your Mom audience. Digital Moms have varying needs and surfing behaviors, depending on their age and their children’s ages. The best way to accurately understand your particular Mom audience is to listen to them. Ask your list subscribers what their concerns are. Conduct your own surveys. Hang out in Mommy forums. Pay attention.

The majority of mothers online are digital Moms. They are tech savvy, smart consumers who make informed decisions when shopping online. They’re also online for social networking and even gaming. But they have varying needs depending on their life stage and their children’s ages. To market effectively to digital Moms, you need to give them what they’re looking for online, be where they are, and pay attention to their needs. Take care of digital Moms and you’ll have a profitable online business.

When you’re a busy mom, the last thing you may be thinking about is taking the time to relax. After all, when there’s more things on your to-do list than hours in the day, who has time to relax, right?

That kind of thinking can be unhealthy. If you have too much on your plate, you can easily become stressed. Stress can lead to anxiety, high blood pressure, and more.

Here are some tips on how to find the time to relax!

* If you keep a daily planner, pencil your relaxation time into your own schedule. It may sound silly, but if you don’t put it on your schedule, you may never get around to actually relaxing!

* If you’re having trouble finding some alone time, get up before everyone else – even it it’s just 15 minutes. You’ll have time to read a few pages of a book, journal, or just relax and enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea without any interruptions.

* Don’t be afraid to delegate some household chores! Getting your spouse or your kids to take on a chore will free up some of your time. Hey – it’s their house, too. They should be doing some of the cleaning!

* Don’t feel about saying “no.” There are only so many things you can do in a day.

* Get Enough Sleep! Your body needs adequate rest each day. Get into a regular sleeping schedule and make sure you get the amount you need each day. When it’s time to wake up, avoid the snooze button. Sleeping in can throw you off schedule and make going to bed difficult, which will make getting up the next day even harder. It’s a vicious cycle!

* Most importantly, give yourself permission to take some time for yourself. Don’t feel guilty about carving fifteen minutes out of your day for a little bit of relaxation. You deserve it!

All Finance Content is a membership that provides members with monthly customizable private label content. It can be used on websites, in newsletters, in information products and in other promotional materials. The content is targeted to individuals seeking information on managing or repairing their finances.

Perks:

-	Membership is limited to 500 members to reduce competition.
-	30-day money-back guarantee.
-	Membership can be cancelled any time.

Thoughts:

If you’ve ever tried a few PLR membership sites, one thing becomes clear – not all the memberships are created equal. Many memberships contain nonsensical garbage content that is clearly created by someone without a full understanding of English, but that does NOT happen with All Finance Content. The quality is always good and the content is very useful for sites that provide financial advice and tips to their users.

The content is useful for generating leads for businesses who sell their own finance-related products and services. It can also be used by website owners who sell products through affiliate programs, use contextual advertising and even sell ads on their own websites.

The content can completely edited or used as is. It is up to the members preference. It can be added to blogs, websites, information products for sale or given away. One thing the membership doesn’t allow is to give rights to other people to use or sell the content. The one exception to that rule is you are allowed to provide the content to your affiliates who publish the content to promote your products and without making any changes.

Overall, the value is very good and because new content keeps coming every month, it pushes you to keep your website fresh with content on a regular basis.

An online Networking group is where you are joined with success-minded people as well as coaches who provide resources and directly answer your questions.

In a good Networking group, you’ll find people who take their business seriously. Think about it. If the other members are willing to invest money to be there, you know they want to learn. Their business is not treated as a hobby. The members are dedicated to their businesses and work hard to achieve success.

How can an online Networking group benefit you? As you may know, in sports, having a good coach will increase your chances of success. Also, the players on your team can make or break your game. If you play on a team with players who are mediocre, your game will remain mediocre. If you join a team with better players who take the game seriously and you add a a great coach, your game will improve as well — significantly.

How do you choose a quality networking group? There are several key factors to deciding if
a networking group is worth your time and effort. I’ll use Shelancers as an example, as I feel it offers a great deal to any Service Provider.

1. The leaders
Do they know what they’re talking about? What are their qualifications? A good group will
be led by experts in their field, by leaders who have experience in the topic and know
how to share that information in a clear, concise manner. They are not afraid to share
their success and are confident in themselves to be able to lead others to succeed as well.

2. The Resources
Most Networking groups offer resources that are only available to their members. These may
be interviews with experts, ebooks, audio and video teleseminars, and software. Take a good
look at the resources available. Oftentimes the resources alone are worth many times the price of the membership.

Shelancers offers step-by-step resources that are focused on their members’ needs, not just general marketing material.

3. The Forum
A good Networking group will include a forum where you can brainstorm and build
relationships with other members. This is where you’ll get specific and applied help. The
coaches or leaders should also have a very visible presence on the board, personally
answering questions and giving guidance.

4. Additional bonuses
If the group offers additional bonuses, it’s worth checking out.
For instance, Shelancers includes free advertising in the members’ directory.

5. Affordable Price.
You’re on a budget. (Aren’t we all?) So, spend your money wisely and find a group that is affordable.

Where do you go from here? It’s simple. Enroll and decide
for yourself whether a membership in the group will boost your business. It’s the best way to find out what goes on behind closed doors.

So, yes, there are great free forums online and valuable free resources. But, if you want
to improve your game, then find the best coaches and jump into the game with a team who can
take you to to the top.

Check out Shelancers today!
